Also keeping the size of it on 4.7 inch is very good considering is the actual size of the Iphone 8 display.
I do have an SE 2016 and the display is the perfect size, if you could make 2 types would be amazing. One 4 inches and one 4.7 inches

I can’t open a new topic but I will say here what I think would be amazing to see in this phone @Pierre .
It would be amazing to have on the E-INK side, a OS like the LIGHT PHONE 2, simple text based thing that you can easy do stuff.
    Think about it. Thats amazing

Oled are sooo expensive and they flicker. Use IPS instead. They are good as amoled atm.

Regarding the size, are we on the 5 inches?
4.7 i tried so many times and feel small

    Love It!
Do you have any update on the E-Ink side?
I just would love to have this fast refreshing color eink! A5 pro cc is out, you can reverse engineering its hardware and software! Its an amazing device and sold so much unit!!!

This new color e ink smartphone made by hisense is pretty phenomenal! I have embed 2 Video that show how it works in realtime. VIDEO 1
    VIDEO 2
The Phone is a Hisense A5 pro cc. I do own an Hisense A5c and this new one is pretty different! It not only seems to have amazing color reproduction! But it also have incredible smoothness and speed! Becauser they are using 2 new more “Display Algorithm” to overclock the e-ink and tweak the image to provide speed!
If clearink doesnt reach back to you, this is definetly the way to go for the OneDevice. It still is an E-ink, with an RGB Color Filter applied to it! Trust me because I have had yet b/w eink. Color is a must to perceive things faster and better.
I make an example. I have the app on my lockscreen. If i know their color i just go for the “Red” youtube app, or “blue” facebook app. Instead on B/w you have to search for it.
Again images and videos. Since this thing have an incredible speed is suitable for video (even for games?)
Check yourself on the link at the video posted above!
This is amazing guys! Its a must to me and for the people!

If you think about it, isnt the camera popup better for video recording?
Because when its out of the case (popup) for recording, it has very better thermals than a camera that is stuck inside the case… Or am i wrong?

I would use the phone mainly to record video of my drawing and tutorial process, so i hope we can get a very good camera for that, maybe the most important thing is the OIS rather than EIS.

The more bigger the sensor, the overall better the image.

If i can suggest, to make it also compatibile with H265 codec, so we can save up to 30% on Storage and also if i can suggest, to make a Pro version of the Phone, with at least 256GB of memory! (For the pro)

I hope that the design of the camera will be okay and not overheat the camera itself
But i hope it will be good since its Popup and has the advantage of being outside the enclosure.

what camera are you planning to use?
I would love a very high quality video!! (Colors, Sensor, Resolution, and overall) With that manual popup, may we can fit a very good camera. (Hope for a true 4k 24fps)

Instead of the usual LCD, i Would love to see a Transflective display on the “pro” version, so that if you are in a bright room or outside, you can use your phone without any brightness on, and this vs a traditional LCD means:

    – No eyestrain – No headhace – No Nausea – No Photofobia – No Light Sensitiveness – etc – etc
    – 95% less power consumption (use no backlight in 85% scenario)
    – Faboulous natural readability under sunlight or bright room scenario.
    – Faboulous readability in very low light scenario (use normal backlight).
    – Faboulous FPS speed (Clearink Display claim to have 33 FPS).
    – Faboulous natural color representation (almost 100% srgb or better)
    – Thin as Oled
    – Light as Oled
    – Low cost

Definetly. Clearink is HUGE. We should dont let the thing eclipse like PixelQI. The future is not in 8gb of ram vs 16. The future is on “helpful” and “smart” things

I think an open OS that could also be open source so developers can help if they want to
Definitely make the second screen (e-ink or whatever) usable as like the first display

I think we need a cheap device, but I would make sense of a “pro” device because in this case, the final user could have at least 2 choices.

The 2 versions could have the same “overall design” for production but I would definitely use CLEARINk displays for the front on the pro model, which is not an e-ink paper, but its a “transflective LCD”. I would use that for the front, and keep the back a normal b/w e ink screen only for reading.

If clearing wouldn’t be available, in that case, front LCD and back Color E ink (with algorithms to speed up the FPS)

To me, this makes more sense 🙂
This respect the user searching for the cheap version but also the pro user want to pay for the CLEARIk technology (that will be awesome)

This is my Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s. YOUTUBE VIDEO LINK
    IMG
The design of this Phone is unique and if you think about that, the OneDevice is a Mi Mix 2s, but smaller (and 16:9).

Could be possible for the COLORS of the phone to make a completely White version? One Black (as render shows) – One White (Like the Mi Mix 2s)

This is actually not E-INK but LCD mixed with E-ink technology and its awesome! It can deliver more than 30 FPS. No backlight. No eyestrain. Faboulous use on smartphone. Video is perfect. Photos and other media consumption also!!
Pierre definitely make a thought about this! It is even smaller and thinner than any eink!!
You can contact them they will be very happy to hear that there is a Smartphone niche that is interested in this!!

THIS WOULD BE THE BEST SELLING POINT OF THIS PHONE BECAUSE IS NOT E INK, BUT BETTER (AN E-LCD) 🙂

ps: can you edit the title to “Color E-LCDInk new Technology. Run at 30+fps”
