Yep ! MicroSD and second sim card are the cherries on top of the cake 🙂
I don’t know the differences between regular type-C and thunderbolt one, in size and price. But dual screen would be nice !Ok, i see your point. And i totally agree 🙂
I Was looking for a laptop replacement but i needed some video encoding and it was not possible with a phone…One solution, maybe, will be to use a remote pc like Shadow ? I don’t know what it can do with a Solidworks but as long as you can play some games…
Yes, web applications.
So u want to talk about standalone applications only ?I agree. But it will just be better and better.
From my experience, if a big company invent the wheel, no need to try to do it too 😉
Even if the “wheel” is not really good at first…Do you want to integrate the online services ? From Google or Microsoft by example.
There’s a lot of them rignt now, even for image processing. At least, till now, it’s easily readable 🙂
And i read all the topics 😉Hi, I’m Alain, from France.
Engineer in the automotive engine industry R&D.
Tech enthusiast since a long time and curious about this project.Ok, i would appreciate an infra-red emitter. I use a lot my phone as a remote controller in hotels (to bypass limited remote function), at work for projectors, etc
Also, a second sim card slot would be nice. With the possibility to use a µSD car instead (or both 😉
And USB type-C connector.
I’m always good for the “original”. So, it will be Android 10. No need to add another app and integrated solution should be more stable.
Hi,
I see that you want to run Linux and Windows programs in Desktop Mode.
Maybe it’s a little bit too high as expectations no ?
I mean, as long as you can access your datas, you don’t need those programs. A COMPLETE laptop replacement seems too much premature to me.Both worlds can coexist. You share your datas in the cloud and access them with one or the other platform. Smooth and easy. There’s plenty of apps today that can do that.
In my opinion, the only “reachable” replacement now is with office use: text, mail, internet, etc. The high demanding tasks (3d design, music creation, video, etc) still needed dedicated computers (any OS).
But, technically speaking, your list is right 😉
