    Salut,

    Hi!
    I’m Emiliano,from italy!
    Tech-addicted,proud owner of a yotaphone 2.
The main reason why i love this project is that today’s smartphones looks all the same and have no special cool feature that can be considered an “innovation”.

Hi Emiliano ! Glad to welcome you 🙂
Yes I share your point of view. They kind of all look the same.

Hi DPOINTCLOUX80 ! About accessories we will probably make a case and provide earphones and charger. Then there is already Keydock which is ready, and later there will be a lapdock. I’m thinking maybe other kind of docking stations like a tablet or game console. The idea would be to be able to use OneDevice on lot of different docks depending on your use.

    Salut,

    Hi,
I’m French, but not from France.

Just a thought: The reason why mobile phones get bigger and bigger is because some dude some years ago showed that owners with a larger screen were spending more time on their phone AND spending more money with it.
More time on their phone –> more advertising time (or more brain-access time)
More spent money –> More money!

So, it’s pretty clear that the usefulness of a phone or its usability comes second compare to having a bigger d***k phone than the neighbor and sending money to the GAFAM.

Well, it is a similar story than the Fairphone. There must be also some guys with initiatives around security, like making it impossible to spy on.
I think that ultimately, all these initiatives should merge. Then the sum of their features, more ethical ones, might reach a large enough user base.

    Cheers.

    Salut,

    Hi LemDuNord32, thanks for joining!
Yes I think too that size is used to justify an increasing price. And yes there are some privacy focus projects, such as linux devices like pinephone. But missing android applications is a real draw back for lot of users currently.

@DPOINCLOUX80 yes repairability and ability to root are in my plans
